Los Angeles International Airport or LAX as it is known is the main airport into Los Angeles and it located near Downtown LA. The airport has nine passenger terminals and domestic flights arrive and depart from Terminals 1-8, international flights arrive and depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal. To get from LAX to your destination there are many options. Shuttle services, bus tranfers, light rail, rent cars and taxis are all available.
Taxis- There is a minimum charge of $15 for trips from LAX plus a $2.50 airport charge. The fair to Downtown is a flat rate of $46.50 with yellow cabs Los Angeles. Taxis can be found at the front of the Terminal.
Super Shuttle- SuperShuttle passengers share the ride with others going in their direction in one of their comfortable blue vans. Advanced reservations and pre-payment is needed but doing so will take the time and hassle out of getting to and from the airport. You can make reservations here.
DASH Downtown Buses serve Downtown and depart every five to 10 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays, and every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The routes are as follows:Route A – Little Tokyo to City West, Route B – Chinatown to Financial District, Route C – Financial District to South Park, Route D – Union Station to South Park, Route E – City West to Fashion District, Route F – Financial District to Exposition Park/USC

Routes A blue runs north and south between Long Beach and LA, every 7 minutes from 6:00 am - 6:30 pm
Route B purple serves Union Station, Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue, every 8 minutes from 5:50 am - 6:30 pm
Route C green runs east and west between Norwalk and Redondo Beach, from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm
Route D orange running North Hollywood to the Warner Center in Woodland Hills, every 5 minutes from 5:50 am - 7:00 pm
Route E red meets the Blue Line in LA and serves through Downtown, the Mid-Wilshire area, Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley, every 5 minutes from 6:30 am - 7:00 pm
Route F from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm
Bus- The FlyAway Bus Service serves LAX to Union Station in Downtown LA, and the Van Nuys FlyAway Terminal in the San Fernando Valley. FlyAway kiosks at Union Station’s Patsaouras Transit Plaza or at the Van Nuys FlyAway Terminal have tickets for purchase; passengers choosing to pay on the bus must have exact change. Every 30 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., and each hour from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. FlyAway buses run 24 hours a day. The buses leave from Bay 9 of the Patsaouras Transit Plaza adjacent to Union Station via the East Portal. The cost is $6 each way.
Los Angeles Metro Bus System is available throughout the ‘Greater Los Angeles area’. 200 different lines travel all over the city to every major destination including state parks, area attractions and shopping districts. Metro Local orange line stops frequently along major streets throughout the city. Metro Rapid red line serves fewer stops. Metro Express blue lines offers reduced stop service along the city’s freeway systems.
